Organizer Guide

Everything you need to create your first event and start selling tickets.

Get started

1

Create your account

On the sign-up page, enter a Username, your Email address, and a Password (at least 8 characters), then agree to the Terms of Use and tap Create Account.

You can start using your dashboard right away, verifying your email isn't required to create or publish events.

2

Add a payout bank account

Before you can create your first event, add a Nigerian bank account from the Payouts page - pick your bank and enter your 10-digit account number, we verify it automatically.

This is a one-time step, but it's required first: the Create Event page won't show the form at all until a bank account is on file.

3

Create your event

Open My Events Create Event. Add a banner, title, description, category, date/time, and venue. Two choices lock once you save: Public/Private visibility, and whether attendees pay the platform fee or you absorb it, so pick deliberately. Everything else stays editable later.

4

Add ticket types

Once your event is created, open it from My Events and add ticket types, Free or Paid, with your own inventory and (optionally) a per-order min/max and sales window.

5

Publish your event

New events start as a Draft, only you can see them. When you're ready, tap Publish on the event page to make it public and start selling. You can Unpublish any time to pull it back to a draft.

6

Get paid automatically

There's nothing to request. When someone buys a ticket, your share is sent straight to your linked bank account as part of that same payment, Paystack splits and settles it automatically. The Payouts page just shows your history.

Managing events

Can I edit an event after publishing?

Almost everything, yes: banner, description, date/time, venue, ticket types. Visibility (Public/Private) and who pays the platform fee lock in at creation and can't be changed after.

How does check-in work?

Every ticket has a unique QR code. Scan it with the camera-based check-in tool in your event's dashboard page, or enter the ticket code manually if the camera isn't an option.

Can I add staff to help run the event?

Yes - from your event's dashboard page, invite staff by email and choose what they can do (check attendees in, view the attendee list).

What's a custom registration question?

Up to 10 extra questions (short text, long text, or dropdown) you can add when creating an event, so attendees answer them at checkout - useful for T-shirt sizes, dietary needs, anything you need to know ahead of time.

Tickets & attendees

Do attendees need an account?

No. Anyone can register and get their ticket by email - only you (the organizer) and any staff you invite need to sign in.

Free vs paid tickets

Set either when creating a ticket type. Free events have no platform fees at all, for anyone.

Can I gift a ticket to someone?

Yes - gifted tickets generate a claim link the recipient uses to register the ticket to themselves.

Payouts & fees

When does the money arrive?

As part of the same payment - Paystack splits it automatically and settles your share to your bank account, no manual payout request needed.

Can I change my bank account?

Bank details lock once linked, for security. Contact support below to change your payout account.

Who pays the platform fee?

Your choice per event, set at creation: the attendee pays it on top of the ticket price, or you absorb it out of your payout. Free events never have fees.

Common questions

Forgot your password?

On the sign-in page, tap "Forgot password", enter your email, and follow the link that arrives.

Do I have to verify my email?

No - it's optional. You can create and publish events without verifying, though we recommend doing it so you never lose access to your account.

Where do I go for anything else?

Use the Contact form below - a real person reads every message.

Still stuck?

A real person reads every message, no bots, no ticket numbers to remember.
